Self-awareness
Quite possibly the most important step in building and maintaining self-confidence. You need to know what you believe, how you think, how you self-sabotage, what situations, people and places are the most triggering for you, what dysregulation looks like for you, how to regulate yourself, the routines, food and environments that create the best version of you, what you draw energy from (and what drains you!), how your culture, upbringing, neurodivergence and hormones affect you and so on. This all sits at the heart of self-confidence. This is your ability to lift the anchor, take sail and steer in the direction you want to go. Consider who you want to be, what you want to achieve (your goals), what help you need along the way, your self-care practices, any skills gaps, how you will remain accountable, what the steps are, how you will know if you are going in the right direction etc. Self-awareness is the foundation stone, but Activation is the engine that gets you where you want to be. Thenext vital step is…
Self-Mastery
As we sail through life, we will undoubtedly hit big waves, rocks and storms, and maybe even a bit of sea sickness! Self-mastery is the skill of navigating these things whilst still maintaining course in the direction you want to travel. Finally we need to embrace…
Success
The one that we oh so often overlook. Taking time to note and celebrate our success. Whether that looks like getting out of bed or completing a marathon.
Celebration is an art and a science and one we need to prioritise.
